Public Libraries in South Jakarta Closed Temporarily

South Jakarta Library and Archive Office (Sudinpusip) closed all public libraries in South Jakarta to prevent the spread of coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

We close the libraries temporarily from March 16-28

South Jakarta Sudinpusip Head, Evita stated, this closing was done to follow up circulate letter from Jakarta Pusip Office No. 106/SE/2020 regarding Temporary Closure of Library Services within All Library and Archive Offices in Order to Prevent the Spread of COVID-19.

"So, we close the libraries temporarily from March 16-28. Besides, we will keep monitoring the condition on the field," she said, Thursday (3/19).

She explained, this closing was done to prevent physical contact between citizens as well as to follow up instruction from Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan who wanted citizens to do activities at home for the next 14 days thus coronavirus spread could be prevented.

"For now, people can access our service through digital library application that can be downloaded from Playstore and IOS," she closed.
